New documentary alert!

I’m not sure if you guys are fans of documentaries, but I love them. I don’t watch enough of them, but I still love them. One of my good friends Alyssa is making one, as you remember, but I’ve told that story already.

The other day through Business2Blogger (a service I raved about in my ebook, Adult Toys), I was offered the opportunity to spread the word about a documentary called A Billion Entrepreneurs. The goal of the documentary is ‘to put an entrepreneur in every home’. Could you imagine?

It’s quite the mission, I know. But I’ve watched the trailer, and it’s inspiring as (insert expletive here).

Not only does this documentary hope to inspire you to be an entrepreneur, but they hope to make entrepreneurship look do-able. Which would be awesome for us wanna-bes. In the film they follow real-life entrepreneurs on their journeys to bring about exciting change in the world, so you get a taste of what being an entrepreneur is like.

This documentary sounds perfect to me because I’ve often wished to see behind the curtain of the average entrepreneur. Or blogpreneur. How did they get their start, what are their days like, how much work do they put in without keeling over or blocking out the sunshine of friends and family?

I think for wanna-be entrepreneurs like yours truly, this film will do more than offer the inspiration to do something great, it will give insight into the world of entrepreneurship, in how entrepreneurs deal with set backs, and how they find new resources and opportunities that help them thrive.

I also think it’s awesome just to watch  how people are changing the world.

In the trailer for the movie, which you can watch below, there are a few snippets of some of the entrepreneurial dreams of the people featured in the film–some of these entrepreneurs are as young as children! I so wish I’d had the entrepreneur muscle in me as a kid.

At any rate, I love talking about inspiring and creative new things here in my little corner of the internet, so I thought I’d share with you this lovely little inspirational find. The documentary is already filmed, but the creators have started a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo in order to raise funds for promotion, and to get the movie playing in theaters all across the nation.

I personally can’t wait to see it when it comes out. What about you?

As always, thanks for taking the time to let me in. Below is the trailer of the film, as promised above. Click here if you want to check out their Indiegogo campaign, and enjoy the beautiful day!

Definitely want to see more of this movie now that I have watched the preview and I love the theme behind the movie. It is funny because recently I told you about starting a second business and I am going into a partnership with my sister. It is my goal to influence others to want to work for themselves as well and after watching this preview that seems to be the goal behind this documentary. Thanks for the share!

That’s awesome Shavonne! I think that should always be a part of an entrepreneur’s goal, not only to accomplish their goals, but to inspire other people to go into business for themselves, doing what they are passionate about as well. :) I’m so glad that you liked the idea behind the documentary. I totally resonated with it, and I really wanted to share it with everyone here. Best of luck with the business, how exciting!!
