What’s the story? I’m not sure yet, I’m only on page 4. But stories should always begin with a bang, and here’s mine: I’ve finally finished that ebook I said I was going to offer my new subscribers. Woo-hoo!

It’s only about 10 pages long, just a short little resource guide for a bunch of cool stuff I’ve found on the interwebs since I started blogging, but it’s going to be free, fun, and mostly f-bomb-less. I’m still reading and re-reading over everything to make sure it’s all sound and readworthy, and I’m currently working through the design details. I’m hoping I can have the link ready for you to download in about a week! That is of course, if you’re already a subscriber :)

It’s funny, I almost didn’t want to be done with it. Have you ever heard of the phrase “Just launch the fucker?” Let me assure you, that’s not my phrase (it’s this wonderful lady’s) but it absolutely pertains to this ebook scenario. My ebook contains 25 resources (I like to think of them as toys but whatever) for bloggers, writers, and wanna-be entrepreneurs. Today I told my sister I’d finished it, then started saying things like, “Well maybe I should add more stuff, maybe it’s not worth it for people to read if there are only 25 resources, maybe I should have like 50 or something.”

But right as I said all this, I knew I needed to just launch the fucker. My sister made a face and said, “Yeah just get it done already!” So I’m not going to stress about being perfect. I’m just going to launch the fucker. I’m going to get the design finished up and just get it out there into the world. There’s never going to be a more perfect time. Do we even know perfect when we see it?

I just want to keep moving forward. Not in a rushed sense, but in a steady, productive, and healthy sense. It’s like watching a special seed you planted grow. You don’t want to rush it, but you can’t wait to see the beauty that comes out of it.

Right now, I’m on page 4 in the book of 2014, and so are you. We’re all sort of in this thing together, writing our own stories with each passing day without really jotting anything down. There’s something really exciting about being the author of your very own life story, with the power to make lofty and adventurous things happen at any moment. Magic.
