weeklyshareables2.1

I read so much interesting shit this week I’m literally bursting at the seams to share it with you. (See proper use of the word ‘literally’ here).

It’s FRIDAY ya’ll! In addition to the beautiful every day that was this week, (dress shopping, working out, drinking wine, watching a bit of soccer, carpooling with my awesome Portuguese coworker, and constantly acting like a straight up giggly five year old with the BF), I am so looking forward to the weekend because I’m going to my boss’s wedding out in San Diego. AKA I’m going to an open bar to get sloshed. But seriously, it’s not very often that you get all dressed up to have a rompin good time dancing, drinking, and celebrating, so for that I am extremely grateful and absolutely giddy with excitement. And it’s at a casino! Which is even better because we can keep the party going to the pre-dawn hours and sleep at the hotel afterwards.

I also asked the universe to deliver me some writing opportunities, and they’ve been coming in ten fold. I have no clue what direction I’m going in with all of my plans and projects, but this week has been really dedicated to writing. In fact, a guest post I wrote for Scott Marquart’s blog was published just this morning! I included it below. It’s the one where I was telling you about how I was going one week without hating. Do you remember slightly? It’s below in the shareables.

At any rate, I’m really into writing lately, and I think I’m going to go like…full freelance. In that sense I mean, I’m going balls to the walls with this writing stuff. I really just want to write every day all day, and if I can make a living on the side through it and see what happens, then I’ll write a little on the side and see what happens. But that requires a lot of careful attention. I have no portfolio put together or anything, but I’m starting out slow and sure. I don’t care how much work it takes, it feels too right to be wrong, and it’s a fun kind of work. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes, send me your tips, wisdom, advice, jokes, well wishes, cheese bagels, and sarcasm.

And OH YEAH. I really want to scream this on the rooftops but I’ll restrain myself. I’m getting a book to review called Cocktails for Book Lovers. WHAT! Guess what’s inside it. GUESS WHAT’S INSIDE IT. Cocktail and book pairings! Like, I could subsist forever on cocktail and book pairings. The entire book lists nothing but a bunch of famous books from literature and what not, perfectly paired with the right cocktail and the recipe on how to make it! Should I do it as a giveaway? I might love it too much! But we’ll see. Either way, I’m going to rave about it on the blog and share all kinds of the recipes + books with you. Hashtag be prepared.

And with that my fine tribe, shareables!
